The essential nature of water is clear, but mud pollutes it. The essential nature of a human being is peaceful, but desires pollute it.

WELCOME
Thank you for considering The Wellspring School for Healing Arts. At The Wellspring, we have created a
comprehensive program to provide students with a rich education in Chinese medicine, Asian bodywork
therapy, nutrition, and wholistic healthcare.
The Wellspring’s program is demanding, rewarding, and exceeds national standards. Small group sizes allow
for a more personal, apprenticeship-style training. The Wellspring is one of the few Asian bodywork schools
in the United States that in addition to giving students a strong Asian bodywork foundation, emphasizes
nutrition and focuses on self-care of the practitioner. Our graduates are qualified to sit for the NCCAOM
(National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) national certifying exam and
currently have a 97% pass rate.
Training at The Wellspring is far more than memorization and learning a technique: it is a journey of
self-discovery. Students are encouraged to recognize patterns in themselves and their health that can be
improved, allowing them to become better practitioners by living congruently with the principles of
wholistic health. Graduates emerge knowledgeable and confident in starting their own practices and in
their ability to maintain their health as well as to offer competent care to their clients.
We strive to encourage each individual student to achieve and gain t
he most from his or her educational
experience. We hope that the information contained within this catalog will pique your interest in the
rapidly growing fields of wholistic healthcare, Chinese medicine, Asian bodywork therapy, and wholistic
nutrition.

The integration of the healing therapies involved in studying Amma Bodywork Therapy has been beneficial to my growth. I feel more life, more freedom, and more strength. Physically, my posture has improved; mentally, I am more alert and aware; and spiritually, I have strong direction and a more peaceful and positive outlook on life. —Erica LaFrenier, Graduate
